Board of Directors

Mark Svorinic

Mark Svorinic joined Governet as a proponent of the development and implementation of educational technology solutions with more than 25 years experience in the field. Having started as a secondary school educator specializing in Business and Technology Education in the early 1980s, Mr. Svorinic recognized that emergent technologies would inevitably impact the learning arena and leveraged his knowledge of education and technology to bring forth the inclusion of computer assisted and delivered learning from the school districts in his home state of Arizona to international projects literally spanning the globe. Taking on the role of District Technology Coordinator for the school system, he crafted this vision into a reality by moving the schools into a technology rich environment long before the trend towards educational technology was affected across the United States. He continued to drive the trend in Arizona when he became the Director for Academic Technology Services in the Tempe Union school district, a position he held through the educational technological watershed decade of the 1990s.

Since then, Mr. Svorinic has held senior executive positions at Cisco Learning Institute, Pearson Digital Learning, and Pinnacle Education, Inc.
